Short answer
You cannot buy this watch new. Jaeger-LeCoultre built the Master Compressor Extreme LAB as a limited series, so every example on the market is second hand. Two references exist. Listings are few at any time, prices follow paperwork and service history more than catalog, and a movement service runs into four figures.

The two references
Extreme LAB 1 (2007)
Caliber 988. One-minute tourbillon. Titanium case about 47mm wide. JLC designed the movement to run without lubrication, using ceramic and carbon parts at the escapement. The watch won the Aiguille d'Or at the 2007 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève. Production was small and each case carries an individual number.

Extreme LAB 2 (2010)
Caliber 781. Tourbillon plus a second time zone. Titanium case, 46.8mm. A crown with selectable modes sets winding, time, and the GMT. Production was 300 pieces. The crown guards make it wear larger than the case number suggests.

Price
A stable price band does not exist for this model. Too few watches trade, and each one moves on completeness and service record. Look at closed sales, not asking prices. Add the cost of a full service to any quote before you agree.
Affordable Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Extreme Lab Replica Watch Guide
Checks before you pay
- Caseback engraving. Reference number, individual number, and limited-edition numbering must match the certificate.
- Service invoices. Ask for them in writing. A tourbillon service at a JLC center is a four-figure bill, and Extreme LAB parts are not stocked at every workshop.
- Compression crowns. Master Compressor cases lock the crowns with a small key. A missing or re-cut key is a stop sign.
- Mode selector on the LAB 2. Cycle the crown through each position. It should click into place with no slack and no overlap.
- Strap and buckle. Original rubber strap and titanium folding buckle. Replacements are hard to source.
- Gaskets. Seals age. Budget for a reseal if the watch sat unused.
- Archive extract. Jaeger-LeCoultre issues an Extrait d'Archives on request. Order it before you wire money.
Fake and replica risk
Counterfeit Extreme LAB pieces are few compared with steel sports models. Low volume keeps copyists away, and the tourbillon is expensive to reproduce. Common tells on fakes of this family: printed markers instead of applied ones, caseback engraving cut too deep, screws that do not sit flush, and an open balance aperture posing as a tourbillon. On a real LAB 1 the cage rotates once per minute and the escapement has no oil. Ask for a short video of the running watch with the seconds hand in frame.
Paperwork to keep
Keep the box, certificate, archive extract, and every service invoice. Resale on this reference depends on that stack. A watch with no papers sells at a discount that is wider than on a standard Master Control, and buyers ask about the tourbillon service first.
